Final Home

Deep under the Earth, where no outside eyes can see, or ears can listen, sleeps a prison like no other. The souls to call it home have been long forgotten, with their appearances and past lives a mystery even to themselves as time has overtaken them in a vicious wave. Their abduction is unnoticed and due to nothing but bad luck, guided by a malevolent dragon's hunger. A hunger unmatched, it is fulfilled only by the lives it takes. These victims have tried anything and everything to escape it, return to the world beyond, and it seems that a final escape draws near...

Dragon's Awakening

It's said that once a century, he does acknowledge us and the place he's called home for so long. And with his age... Even the underground abides by his every command. Portals, reanimated dead, the simultaneous construction of an elaborate maze, to give the imprisoned a final chance to escape. It's almost exciting when you think about it like that.

Dragon's Curse

Almost as much as sustenance, the dragon is after his own enjoyment and fun to be had. This means that no race is going to be as straightforward as it may seem. Raising enemies to attack you, scattering portals that lead to totally different rooms, and even allowing prisoners to attack each other is only the start of what he may do to make things interesting, so watch out.

Dragon's Blessings

To combat this, however, the dragon has bestowed several gifts upon you. One is a youthful, muscular body that can keep coming back from the last portal entered even after being downed, as well as a magic sword that marks the bane of enemies and competition alike. Perhaps he would even be so kind as to gift an item or potion to someone who is particularly adept at wielding it against your adversaries?

Only Chance

The dragon is, despite this, a cruel warden. Only one of his prisoners can escape, so he has ruled. Enemies defeated, players defeated, and the amount of time taken to escape are all factors in his judgment, so stay at the top of your game if you want to win. It may be your only chance. Challenge the dragon on December 4th at the Florida Poly Game Expo, and you might escape the grim future fate has provided you.
